How to Redesign a Smaller Kitchen
Redesigning a room can be quite an overwhelming task at the best of times so when it comes to giving a fairly small kitchen a full makeover, the task can prove surprisingly challenging. The last thing you want to do is to spend a large amount of your money and time on alterations that in hindsight prove undesirable. Luckily there is kitchen planner software available that can help you visualise how the room will look but what other steps can you take in order to get the kitchen of your dreams?

You should make the most use out of what little space you have.If any good or appliances can be hung on a wall then you should choose that option. It is a good idea to fit cabinets against the ceiling to optimise the use of that space.Instead of a standalone oven, why not use a fitted in-wall oven as part of your kitchen redesign.
Try to choose more compact versions of appliances and accessories where possible. You may also want to use a more compact, slim model of refridgerator as well as using a dishwasher that can be mounted under a cabinet.
With all this space saving that you are doing you should ensure that you leave some room for actual storage space.Although space is somewhat limited you can still remove a great deal of clutter from your work area by including a reasonable amount of drawer, cabinet and closet space.
Make sure that there is plenty of light otherwise all of this time spent saving space will have been all for nothing if you can’t see what you are doing. You may wish to consider overhead panel lighting or lights hanging beneath cabinets to illuminate surfaces.
If it turns out that you are struggling to find the best way to lay our your kitchen it can be a good idea to employ an interior designer or even a builder with extensive experience of putting kitchens together. An experienced interiors professional will be able to recommend the right steps to take from their years in the trade.
